AD – Gifted items but all views are my own.
I love my home, but I do tend to get bored very quickly. So to stop me from doing Craig’s head in and redecorating the house every other week I like to find things like wall art to provide a little bit of a change, which satisfies me and prevents me from stripping down the wallpaper!
And if there’s one thing that I truly love, it’s finding quirky and unique items for my home.
When PosterStore got in touch with me I was like a kid in a candy store! They have so many fantastic posters and frames to choose from; from artistic to beautiful scenery, black and white to children’s posters , all with a beautiful Scandinavian design. They are extremely affordable too which is very important to me because as a mother of 3, money is often tight. But with such wonderful designs and bargain prices, I already know that I’ll be going back for more very soon!
I live in a new build and when we moved in, the whole place was white and we couldn’t paint or paper for a year! As I’m someone who’s quite ‘out there’ when it comes to my interior design style and absolutely love being surrounded by colour, it drove me crazy.
But finding prints was the perfect way to add some personality to the home without decorating; and now a few years down the line I’m still finding that prints and posters are great for adding those small touches to a room and can completely change the feel of the room.
Ordering From Posterstore.
Ordering from Posterstore is so simple . They have a huge selection of posters on the site but there are filters such as colour, layout and size to help you to narrow your search.
You can also search by category.
New collections are released every Tuesday and wall decoration sizes range from 13x18cm up to 70x100cm, so you are guaranteed to find something to suit your style.
The site is extremely easy to navigate and you can save your favourites to the wishlist, which is always a favourite feature of mine when trying to narrow down selections.
If you are looking to create a gallery wall (which is something I’m hoping to do at some point in the future) the site has a beautiful gallery wall section full of inspiration.
Making My Selection.
When I was selecting my prints, I actually used the view all option as I wanted to make sure I was seeing everything available to me. I always do this and quite often I stumble across things that I would never have thought to look for in a search.
There’s so many wonderful designs.
I got the children involved and they chose some prints for their rooms.
Florence chose the Silly Cat poster, Amelia chose the Macarons poster and the Bubblegum Giraffe poster and Natalia chose the I Believe In You poster.
My home is full of colour apart from my ensuite which is completely black so I wanted prints to compliment that. I found the perfect poster for my en suite, the Catching Up On Reading poster and I chose the white frame to really make it stand out.
I chose the body vases print and black picture frame for my bedroom. My bedroom has some rather questionable and inappropriate decor (if you follow me on instagram you will know) and this poster fits in with the bedroom perfectly. It looks lush against the spotty wall and pink door.
For me, your home should be your happy place so you should surround yourself with things that make you smile and giggle and the prints that I have chosen definitely do that.
There’s plenty of reasonably priced frames to choose from and they are really good quality. One thing I quite like about them is that the windows are actually plastic, not glass which is perfect for me as some of the posters are going in the kids’ bedrooms.
It’s also quite easy to remove the backs.
As a hypermobile person, removing the backs of picture frames can often be a struggle and can be painful but these have easy to use as the clips just slide in and out.
I chose mainly white and black frames as I find they usually pop quite nicely on my walls, but I did choose a silver one too for Natalia’s poster.
There is a good variety of frames to choose from including metal, wood, gold and copper colour as well as the white, black and silver already mentioned.
I love that Posterstore is a sustainable company, ensuring that their paper is from responsibly managed forests and they use an environmentally friendly printing company too. This alone is enough reason to check them out don’t you think?
Their paper and printing sources are certified by:
- FSC – Forest Stewardship Council
- Nordic Swan Ecolabel
- International environment guidelines ISO 14001
Poster Store also minimise their carbon footprint by using short transport routes.
Ordering from them was such an easy process. Delivery was tracked with UPS and they kept me notified of everything that was happening.
Upon delivery I realised that one of my posters was missing but it was resolved easily and the poster was sent out to me straight away at no extra cost.
The posters and frames arrived well packaged and with no damage. Delivery is free if you spend over £39 and only £4.95 if under.
I’d definitely order from poster store again, I loved so many of their designs. In fact, I still have 44 items in my wishlist after making my purchase! There were so many posters that we wanted and there is something there for everyone.
I’m delighted with my choices, they really have added those little extras that were missing from my home. It’s little things like this that really help add some personality to your home.
